From wanting to spend more time outside, to there being more plants and flowers on display, it is during this time of year that everyone turns their attention and time to their outdoor space.
As garden designers, landscapers, and garden nurseries can attest, the summer time, and the short period leading up to it, suddenly becomes chaotic, with everyone wanting their outside space to be perfect for the (hopefully) lovely weather. This is something that we most definitely experience ourselves, with demand for pots soaring during peak time. However, much like the garden is all year round, so too is our production, and with a bit more forward planning, one can avoid the rush.
All our planters and oil jars are handmade in beautiful Italy, where the climate is perfect for crafting pots nearly all year round. This means that we are able to create a steady supply of pots 11 out of the 12 months; ideal when each pot takes 6 weeks to actually make. It is only during the month of August, when practically the whole of Italy shuts down for a month due to the heat being at its absolute hottest, that our craftsmen stop.
It’s natural for our focus to shift with the seasons, or perhaps everything has been planned for a summer project and you are waiting until closer to the time to order your supplies; whatever the reason, demand for pots increases greatly from March through to the end of September.
Just as Autumn and Winter is the best time to order your Spring deliveries of vegetable seeds and onion sets, so too might it be for pots. Don’t let the rush of the seasons catch you off guard. By planning ahead, you can secure the perfect pots to elevate your outdoor space.
