A
POTTED HISTORY On our first visit to Italy we searched for large pots for our garden. Armed with a few Italian lessons, on a second trip, we found a pottery willing to make pots to our designs. Friends liked them, the kitchen table became a desk and Italian Terrace began. Juggling between farming, family and pots we had to move into our dilapidated barn and we gradually improved the garden for visitors. Now fifteen years on, with twelve Chelsea Flower Show Awards and worldwide exports, we have a new kitchen table. Here in Suffolk we have a showroom and large display area with lots of pots, plaques and other articles and visitors are welcome to visit by prior arrangement to view and collect. Please
contact us to arrange a time and see how our pots are made.
WHY ITALIAN
TERRACE POTS ARE SO SPECIAL Our pots take about four
weeks to make. We blend the best Italian clay to achieve a pale
colour and a special finish is added to create the weathered
texture. We make by hand, using traditional press moulded techniques.
Gentle air drying and firing at high temperatures in our modern
gas kilns ensures strength and durability in the winter months.
We have created designs and shapes that suit our classical and
contemporary architecture, with the growth of plants in mind. See how our pots are
made.
